IMG_4954 (800x746)   Henry Feldhaus III (1st Ward) returned to elected office in 2012 as councilman after serving as a councilmember from 1981 to 1987 followed by two terms as Mayor from 1987 to 1995. He has served Shelbyville in several elected positions and on virtually every board and committee associated with Shelbyville government over his lifetime. He graduated from The University of Tennessee in Business Administration majoring in Industrial Management in 1976. He later received his Masters in Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University in 1999 graduating first in his class and was inducted into the coveted Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. He is the eldest of six children of the late Mary Jo Feldhaus and the late Dr. Henry Feldhaus. He is married to Jenni, who is a CPA and certified financial planner. They currently own and operate Feldhaus Investor Services where they are SEC licensed financial analysts and stockbrokers. Henry and Jenni have 3 children: Dr. Jennifer Feldhaus, MD; Dr. LauraAnne Feldhaus, DPT, and Henry Feldhaus, IV who works at Jack Daniels with his master’s degree in Distillation. Henry is a past president of the Shelbyville Rotary Club. Henry currently serves on the Shelbyville-Bedford County Joint Economic Oversight Committee as chairman, 231 North Business Park as chairman, and is the Vice-Mayor of Shelbyville. He wants to see Shelbyville prosper by promoting existing and new businesses; especially, through redevelopment of the downtown riverfront district, expand adult education/training, improve government efficiency, and continue to make Shelbyville a friendly and inviting city for new and existing citizens.

IMG_0009   Marilyn Ewing (2nd Ward) was born in Fort Campbell, Ky to Ruby Ewing and the late Eugene Ewing, Sr.  She moved to Shelbyville at an early age. A 1981 Shelbyville Central High School graduate, Marilyn also attended Motlow State Community College and Middle Tennessee State University.  A broadcaster since 1986, Marilyn also has a passion for radio with shows such as “Let’s Do Lunch” and “Marilyn In The  Morning”.  In 1997 she launched a television show called “Marilyn & Company”.  Marilyn was a graduate of the 1994-95 Leadership Bedford Class, and has also served as a trustee for the Argie Cooper Public Library from 2008 through 2014.  “I have one beautiful daughter and three very talented brothers.  My mom is my world and the strongest link imaginable.  I am honored to join the council with a voice and vision dedicated especially to those of Ward 2, and for Shelbyville as a whole, reaching for the betterment of all that live and work here as well as our guests and tourists."

 Garyh2021   Gary Haile (3rd Ward) 

is a lifelong resident of Shelbyville.  He attended Shelbyville Central High School and Middle Tennessee State University.  He has served on numerous boards, such as  the Boys and Girls Club, Vocational Rehabilitation, Imagination Library, and the Child Development Center Board. He works as a Career Advisor. He is married to Velencia Haile and the father of two sons Jullian and Christian.  “I am so honored that the people of Ward 3 chose me to serve this city and especially them. I have always been a people person, so it’s not hard for me to serve them. I have a servant’s heart. I am really excited and looking forward to see what the future holds for the City of Shelbyville.”

IMG_4942 (800x660)   William Christie (4th Ward) ) is a lifelong resident of Shelbyville. He was elected to represent the fourth ward in November of 2014.  William was a new car sales manager for various car dealerships in Middle Tennessee for 25 years.  He attended Shelbyville Central High School and Middle Tennessee State University.  William served as President of his Junior class at MTSU.  William coached high school basketball and baseball.  He also served as President of Shelbyville Youth Football League.  “I have retired from the 9 to 5 grind.  I am devoting my efforts to improving the City by striving to add industry and more good paying jobs to our community.  I am on the Joint Economic Advisory Committee, and we are committed to bringing industry to Shelbyville and Bedford County."

Stephanie2021   Stephanie Isaacs (5th Ward)  is a working mom. When she is not busy with her two children, Bella and Grayson, she is engaging with the community to come up with solutions to improve lives. As a leader of the Bedford County Listening Project, Stephanie hopes to put renter issues on the forefront of community conversations.  Stephanie has worked in the Murfreesboro City School System and in the medical field.  Stephanie believes the best way to better the community is to get out in it and talk to those most affected.  “I look forward to working alongside the residents of Ward 5, the City Council, and all of Shelbyville to make it a better home for everyone."

IMG_100168   Bobby Turnbow (6th Ward) 

Bobby Turnbow (Ward 6) was born in Hohenwald/Lewis County, TN and moved to Shelbyville at a young age.  Bobby has lived in Southside Ward 6 for over 60 years.  He attended Southside School, Madison Street Junior High, and Shelbyville Central High School.  He also studied at Martin Methodist College in Pulaski and Motlow State Community College.  His working career consisted of two jobs.  He was a Journeyman Lineman with Duck River Electric Membership Corporation in Shelbyville for 17 years, and a Safety Instructor for Tennessee Job Training Safety Program for 28 years.   Bobby retired in 2014.  He is married to Ann Threet Turnbow.  They have two sons, Whit and Kyle, and four grandchildren, Reagan, Connor, Hannah, and Hudson.  Bobby now has time to devote to family and citizens of Shelbyville.  “I am looking forward to making Shelbyville a better place for all citizens.”

City Council Business Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM.  All meetings are currently being held at the Shelbyville Recreation Center, 220 Tulip Tree Road. City Council Business Meetings can be seen on Local Channel 193 on the third Monday at 1:00 PM and the third Wednesday at 9 PM.
