The Shelbyville Police Department is committed to the protection of life and the prevention of crime and disorder within its borders and beyond. This in support of our ultimate goal which is to create a better quality of life for our citizens and visitors. To accomplish this task we need the help and support of every member of the Shelbyville community.

As a community driven and oriented police department, we seek to build partnerships with members of the Shelbyville community in order to improve our ability to prevent crimes, solve problems, and improve the overall quality of the services we provide.

Shelbyville City Court is held every first and third Monday of each month at 1:00 PM at the Shelbyville Recreation Center, 220 Tulip Tree Road.  Judge presiding over City Court:  John T. Bobo,  City Attorney:  Ginger Shofner and City Court Clerk:  Lilia Torres.

All Citations must be paid before noon on court date unless prior arrangements are made with the Court Clerk. 
Please note:  non-appearance in court or non-payment of fine WILL result in the suspension of your driver's license.
